Favourites

We all have our favourite home pages. For some of us it’s the BBC News. For others it’s Google. But how many of us can say, hand on our heart, that our favourite home-page is an energy-saving one? Indeed, how many of us, when looking through our browsing history, can find any trace of energy-saving web-sites?

Hmm, I think you catch my drift. You can stop going red now, don’t worry, you’re not alone on that (even I have been pretty bad at this energy thing, so I am now trying to step up my game). Just do yourself a favour and set this one to your home-page.

And don’t just set it to your home-page, read the full article too, go on! This blog post concerns Enigin and their unique energy-monitoring tool. It’s something that allows the user to monitor precisely how much energy is being used at all times. How great is that?! I’ll tell you how much, it’s flipping brilliant is what.

Of course, I realize that this isn’t something that will become an over-night success. It’s going to need a lot of support and people getting behind it. But maybe in time, who knows? With any luck the people who control energy all over the world will get the idea and start to make this kind of technology a standard thing. I’m sure Enigin might do quite well out of it too, which is no bad thing. I think the company deserves it for sticking their neck on the line where so many people choose not to.
